Mark Beckham 

Mark is a Financial Underwriter for UNUM. A native of South Bend, Indiana, Mark graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1977. Mark and his wife Jan have been married since 1977 and have lived in Red Bank the entire time. They are the parents of Brett (Brittney) who lives in Jackson, Tennessee, Blake who lives in Henderson, Tennessee and Katie a December 2010 graduate from Freed-Hardeman University.

Jan has worked as an RN at TC Thompson Children's Hospital since 1981 and works with the Tabitha Class, Inner City Bus Routes and Children's Training Time at RB. Mark enjoys teaching, leading singing, reading about the Civil War and walking. Mark and Jan have been members at Red Bank since 1978. Mark's area of responsibilities are Worship, Special Ministries, and Inner City.

Mark Beckham
Grady Cash 

Grady is retired, after 35 years service, from the DuPont Company in Chattanooga. He has been married to the former Jimmie Sue Tinker since Nov. 11, 1948. They have three children, two of whom are deceased. Their daughter, Vicki, lives in Washington State. They have nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Grady and his wife have worshipped at Red Bank Church since 1990. He has been an elder since 1994 and his areas of oversight are the building, grounds and benevolence.

Sam Gennoe 

Brother Gennoe was born 12-30-1929 on a farm in Decatur, TN. He graduated from Meigs Co. High School in 1947, being a class officer and a member of the basketball team.

Sam graduated from the University of Chattanooga in 1951 with a BBA. Was a member of the varsity wrestling team and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Retired from General Motors Acceptance Corp. with 38 years of service, serving as the Accounting Manager.

He married his wife, Barbara, in 1956 and has 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. One grandson, little Sam, passed away in 1995 at the age of 2-1/2. Brother Gennoe was baptized in 1964 by Howard Carter and have previously served as a Deacon and Elder. He and his family has worshipped at Red Bank since 1987. Hobbies include refinishing furniture and grandchildren. Enjoys playing competitive Table Tennis, having successfully played in the Senior Olympic Games, locally, state and nationally as well as several open tournament every year. His area of responsibility is the worship committee.





Sam Gennoe
Walter Jones 

Walter is retired from TVA, where he worked in Human Resources for 24 years. He is currently teaching World History at Boyd Buchanan High School in Chattanooga. He also serves as an assistant coach for the girls' high school softball team.

Walter is married to the former Beverly Casteel, whose parents have been members at Red Bank for over 60 years. Walter and Beverly have been at Red Bank for over 30 years. Walter has two children and four grandchildren. His daughter, Amy works for HCA Healthcare as a Financial Manager and lives in Nashville, TN with her two children, Ashley and Maddox. His son, Chris, works as a sales representative for U.S. Foods. Chris and his wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Cooper and Hudson, live in Collegedale, TN.

Walter’s areas of service are education, special events, worship, and the inner city program. He has been an elder since 1996 and served as a deacon for over 10 years before that.

Walter Jones
Phil McCormick 

Phil was born in southeast Missouri but spent his formative years in St. Charles, IL, a suburb of Chicago. Phil graduated from Harding University in 1977 with a major in Bible and earned an MBA at UT in 1994. He married Becky (also a graduate of Harding) in 1980. They have 2 children, Brad and Cara. Brad is a member at Red Bank and Cara is a member of the East Brainerd church where she attends with her husband, Nathan. Phil and his family have lived and worshiped in Memphis, TN, Oak Ridge, TN, Aiken, SC (where Phil served as an education deacon at the North Augusta congregation), Smyrna, TN and Chattanooga.

Phil's secular job is a Project Manager for IBM where he has worked for 15 years but he has been in Information Technology for over 30 years. He enjoys teaching Bible classes, family vacations, watching and playing sports.

Phil's areas of focus as an elder at Red Bank are education and local evangelism.

Steve McDonough 

My name is Steve McDonough, and I am a pharmacist at CVS in St. Elmo. I grew up in Chattanooga attending the St. Elmo Church of Christ. My family and I ran Incline Drug in the St. Elmo community for 57 years until 1996. After six years at Baylor, I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for two years, then the UT College of Pharmacy in Memphis where I received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

I was married to Ann Moody McDonough for 30 years until her death in July 2004. We have two children, Jennifer and John. Jennifer is married and a CPA in Memphis. John lives in California.

I enjoy family and friends, golf, travel, good food, and fellowship. I have served as a deacon involved with missions, long range planning, and scripture assignments during worship. Now, as an elder, my responsibility is missions.

Steve McDonough
Charles Millirons 

Charles is a lifelong resident of Chattanooga having graduated from Boyd-Buchanan School, a BS from UTC, an MPA concentrating in finance from UTK, and graduate of various banking and finance schools. He grew up in East Brainerd and attended Eastdale, East Brainerd, and the East Ridge congregations. Charles parents, both retired and longtime members of the East Ridge congregation, and younger brother, an attorney, and a deacon at the East Brainerd congregation, still reside in East Brainerd. He has been in banking for nearly twenty years and has been with Cornerstone Community Bank for nearly eight years. His wife is a registered nurse case manager with Cigna. They have a son in high school who keeps them busy. Charles is active in several charities and community activities; and enjoys being with family and friends, traveling and hiking, music, reading, watching son’s activities, athletics including UTC and Alabama, and other activities. They have attended the Red Bank church since January 2004 after having lived in Jasper, TN for a number of years while working at a local bank there and attending the Kimball congregation. Charles teaches adult Bible classes, leads a TLC group, and helps with TLC administration. His primary service areas are church administration and others.

Charles Millirons
Lynn Mynatt 

Lynn was born in Memphis, graduated from Memphis State University with an electrical engineering degree, and moved to Chattanooga in 1978 to work for TVA. He currently works as an Engineering Supervisor at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. Lynn has attended Red Bank church since moving to Chattanooga. He has been married to Cheryl for 28 years. Lynn has three children, Trent (Micah) live in Chattanooga, Chad is a missionary in the Dominican Republic and Nikki is a Junior at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Cheryl is an educator at Boyd Buchanan Middle School. She teaches math and girls Bible, coaches Middle School volleyball, basketball and softball. Lynn has worked with the Youth Program at Red Bank for the past 25 years. Lynn's areas of responsibilities are Education, World Missions and Youth/College.

Tommy Reese 

Tommy Reese doesn’t remember when he first began attending the Red Bank Church of Christ because he was a toddler at the time. It is safe to say that he has been attending there for the last fifty years. He married his high school sweetheart, Jill Acuff, in 1978 and they have two children. Their daughter, Allison, is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, and presently lives with them, while working in a Pre-K program in North Georgia. Their son, Jeff, is a junior at Tennessee Tech, where he is an active part of the college ministry program.

Tommy is a graduate of Red Bank High School and attended Freed-Hardeman University. He is a master plumber and master gas fitter and the owner of Reese Plumbing Company which he began in March 1989. Jill has been a math teacher for over 30 years and presently works at the district office as the secondary numeracy coach. They have both been youth volunteers for the past 30 years and have over the last few years become very involved in mission work, especially in the Dominican Republic. Tommy has been a regular Sunday school teacher for the youth and served as a deacon for over 20 years. Jill has taught the ladies class on Wednesday nights for years and has been involved in Inner City Outreach for the past 17 years. Tommy’s main areas of responsibility are youth and missions.

Tommy Reese
Kevin Risley 

Kevin was born in southwest Indiana but grew up in Avon, IN, a suburb of Indianapolis. Kevin graduated from David Lipscomb University with a BS degree in Engineering Science. He went on to graduate from Auburn University with a BSME in 1984. He later earned a MBA degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1995. He married Stacy (who he met at Lipscomb and followed to Auburn) in 1983. They have two children, Hannah and Taylor. Hannah is attending the University Of Tennessee College Of Pharmacy. Taylor is at Freed- Hardeman University. The Risleys moved to Chattanooga and placed membership at Red Bank in 1987.

Kevin’s secular job is a Mechanical Engineer for Astec, Inc. where he has worked since 1999. He enjoys family vacations, watching and playing sports.

Kevin’s areas of focus as an elder at Red Bank are benevolence and buildings/facilities.

Kevin Risley
Don Steere 

Don and LaRue Steere have been members at Red Bank since 1974. Don has served as a deacon since about 1984, working in the area of parking lot maintenance as well as minor maintenance around the building. LaRue has worked several years as one of the Children’s Training Time teachers. They both help with the Intercity Ministry on Thursday evenings and have been active in the TLC program since it’s inception. LaRue also helps with the Monday Night for the Master program.

They have two married children, Kevin and Nicole, along with six grandchildren. Both families live in the Chattanooga area.

Don Steere
Jack Tarpley 

Jack is a native of Tennessee, born a few miles Southeast of Henderson Tennessee in Oak Grove community. Jack grew up in Western Oklahoma and graduated from Sayre High School in 1959. He attended Oklahoma University and graduated with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. While at OU he met his wife Betty from Oklahoma City who was also a student at OU. Jack and Betty were married his senior year and after graduation moved to Chattanooga accepting a job with DuPont. During this time Jack also completed a graduate degree, MS in electrical engineering, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Jack and Betty have been married 45 years and have four children. Tom, a biologist for the state of Alabama and his wife Debbie, a school teacher, live in Marion Alabama. Heather and her husband Kraig Campbell live in Hixson, both are teachers and high school coaches, they have two children, Tyson and Kayla. L.J. (Jack), an electrical engineer, and his wife, Amy who works at Boyd Buchanan School have two children, Kendall and Max, and live near Falling Water. Tara is a school teacher and her husband, Chance Blackmer, is attending Southwest School of Bible Studies. They have one son Jack Hayden and live in Austin Texas.

Jack is currently an engineering consultant working primarily with petroleum refineries.

Jack and Betty have attended Red Bank since 1968. During this time he has taught all adult and high school classes. He was a deacon for 24 years before becoming an Elder in 1996. His primary area of service is benevolence.
